YOU: “Yeah, that’s great. But I have a real job making my company money with a legacy application. I can’t just take two years to re-architect the world. Plus, I’m fairly certain 90% of what you just said is utter nonsense. So why should I care about any of this??? In this talk, we will go beyond the theory of containers, orchestration, and service-based architecture to talk about real techniques that real developers can use to start gaining the benefits of a container-focused ecosystem without completely starting over. I will use live code examples to show how to break apart a monolithic application and begin to deploy decoupled components in containers using the Kubernetes container-orchestration system.
